Team Angela
Angela is a thirty-two-year-old single mother. She has 5 year-old twin children. Angela does not receive child support from the father of her children and works a 9-5 job receiving minimum wage. She lives in public housing and receives food stamp assistance. Angela has a high school diploma and her children attend public school and are enrolled in a free and reduced-price lunch program.
Team Debra
Debra is a retired mother of adult children who live on their own. She receives monthly social security payments. Getting good health care is a concern for her. She wants her estate affairs to be in good order so that her children are not burdened or confused about her wishes. She is serious about her faith and is enjoys giving back to the community, building friendships, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and traveling.
Team Brenda
Brenda, is a mother of two teenage children. She is now single after being married for several years. She has a salaried job at a company where she has worked for several years. She has held the same position in the company and seen other employees who were hired after her get promoted over her. She never seems to have enough money or personal time. Brenda wants her children to attend college but is not sure how she will be able to afford it.
Team Elaine
Elaine and her husband are college educated and both still work. Their two incomes total about $200,000/year. They are empty nesters since their adult children are doing well on their own. Over the last few years Elaine feels that she and Edward have grown apart. Elaine still loves Edward but when she is not working, she wants to do things she enjoys doing, even if it means doing them without Edward.
Team Cathy
Cathy is a military veteran. She is struggling to move-on after transitioning from the military. Cathy is using the VA for her medical care but wonders if she is receiving all of her veteran benefits. Cathy has wants to go back to school obtain her bachelor's degree and better develop herself so that she can get promoted at her current place of employment or obtain a better paying job.
Team Faye
Faye is a divorced woman. She filed for divorce once she accepted that she was gay and could no longer deny that part of her. She has been divorced over 5 years. She and her partner both work but enjoy participating local events around town. Faye wants to expand their network of friends and help women be comfortable with who they are regardless of their sexual orientation.
